ENWhen devices are capable of connecting (wired or wirelessly) to another medical or non-medical product, to a network, or to the Internet, there is the possibility that multiple devices can be compromised simultaneously.

ENBecause of that connectivity, if a device is compromised, or if a non-device function (i.e., any function that does not fall within section 201(h) of the FD&C Act) that could impact the device function is compromised, the device may introduce a safety risk to patients through security risk.
